In this installment we will explore Free Advertising through the use of free classified ad sites to ethically promote your new website. In the next post of ethically promoting your website we will explore other free options for advertising your website. These include using the mediums of article writing.
Ethically promoting your website ~ Part 5 ~ Advertising through Articles
There are literally hundreds of classified sites on the internet where you can list your website for free. Free advertising is similar to PPC advertising in it structure. You will have the opportunity to give your ad a title, description and add the URL (your website address) at the end. The length and type of description allowed varies in different classified sites.
Be aware that it is not to your best advantage to list your website on each of these free classified sites multiple times. Once per each site is enough. Some sites will work together and will list the same ad on another site. Listing your site URL many times for one site can be considered spamming and may get you kicked off and banned from these sites.
There may be other rules that you need to comply with when using classified sites so always take a few minutes to read the terms and conditions.
In my opinion some classified sites are better than others. It is always wise to list your site with classified sites that have been around for a while.
