Many new affiliates and internet marketers ask this question. The answer is not an easy one as there are many variables to consider. In this series we will explore the main variables or factors that contribute to a persons success in achieving and internet marketing or affiliate business.
Variable 1 – You
First of all is you, the person asking this question. This leads us to another group of questions.
- How much time do you have per week to spend on building an internet business?
How much do you know about internet marketing or being an affiliate? If internet marketing is new to you are you prepared to learn and implement internet marketing strategies? Are you prepared to enroll in and actively participate in an educational affiliate online program to learn internet marketing strategies?
- Do you like spending potentially many hours every week on the computer and on the internet or would you find this to be a chore?
If you like working on the computer and working and learning online then it is possible to build a successful affiliate or internet marketing business, if on the other hand you find this to be a chore then it is going to be hard for you to have a sustained commitment to building your online business.
- Have you built a reputation online?
Your reputation can be a crucial factor online. If you have been involved in unethical behavior it can take some time to rebuild your reputation.
- Have you become a member of social networks online?
Have you participated and have a following or friends on sites like face book, twitter, my space and oth
er social networks?
.
- Do you operate with ethics and integrity online?
This is most important. All that we contribute to the internet stays there and anyone with a reasonable knowledge of the internet and how it works can find your contributions to the internet for generations to come. Keep this in mind always.
- Do you have any experience in writing, if not are you prepared to learn how or alternatively pay someone to ghost write for you?
Writing is necessary to internet marketing as you will need to build a presence and reputation online and a good way to do that is through writing. Learning how to write for the internet is not difficult once you get the hang of it. Writing for the internet is all about being ethical, writing in a way that is understood by most people and implementing ethical Search Engine Optimization in the pieces that you write. You can easily learn these skills from a good education affiliate online program. Who knows, one day you could be marketing your own e book on a topic of your choice.
In this post we looked at the first variable ~ You – in relation to “How do I become a successful affiliate through internet marketing”. In part 2 we will explore the second variable ~ the product or service you wish to promote. Don’t worry if you haven’t got any product or service in mind, there is a research process that needs to be done to choose a product or service and this process will explored and explained in further posts.
